A Busy Crocheting Week

Cool fall weather is fast approaching and the custom orders are beginning to pour in. I have been working on something new every day. I finished two cute cloche hats this week for a dear customer of mine. I haven't made them in awhile so it was refreshing to make these. The first one is the Euro Garden Cloche.

The next one is the Whimsy Fun Cloche.

Both of these cloche hats are available in my Etsy store.
I also worked on two adorable purses. It had been almost two years since I had made a fairy mushroom house purse so it was exciting to make another. I just love this purse.

The latest purse I finished made me feel ready for fall. The cute little pumpkin purse is always a fall favorite of mine to create.

Both of these purses are available in my Etsy store. Now I am ready for a cup of hot apple cider and my favorite fall treat; candy corn.

Lalaloopsy Dolly Fun with Sugar3

Sugar3 is having their All Dolled Up launch today. I made an adorable Mint E. Stripes Lalaloopsy purse to match a dress Karen of Layla*and*Stitch created, and there is a beautiful bow and necklace set made by Tutu Cute Boutique to match as well.

There is a lot of detail on this little purse. I added a lot of beads, sequins, Swarovski crystal beads, and buttons to the little Christmas tree on the front.

Little peppermint buttons line the pink ruffle scallop trimmed purse flap. The aqua purse strap is also trimmed in a pink ruffle stitch.

A lot of detail was put into sweet Mint E. Stripes' face. I used both 100% cotton yarn and thread to create her.

The launch has already started and you can visit Sugar3's Facebook page HERE for your chance to bid to win. The launch is going on until Wednesday, July 3rd, at 3 pm. CST. photo kittysiggie.jpg

Treasure the Bunny Purse

My dear friend Linda had asked me if I could crochet a bunny purse for her granddaughter Adyson. I had a pattern for one that I always wanted to try. Meet, Treasure the Bunny Purse. She is perfect for your little one to hide and carry all of her special "treasures". photo bunnyedit.jpg I found the pattern in the Cute Critter Purses to Crochet pattern book designed by Cindy Harris.

I wanted to make the bunny more girly and sweet so I added a pink bow instead of blue and sewed pink and white polka dotted fabric inside the ears. I also made the tail more fluffy and fun by using white soft textured yarn.

Isn't she sweet?

Zella wants me to make her one now so I know what I will be working on this weekend. :)

Santa Pants Purse Free Pattern

One of my lovely customers requested a custom Santa pants purse for her adorable granddaughter. I just love all of her wonderful ideas for crochet purses. So I came up with this adorable design. The pattern is so simple, I decided to share it with all of you. :)

Santa Pants Drawstring Purse

I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the colors red and black for the main part of the purse. For the drawstring, I used Red Heart Super Saver in white. For the top trim of the purse and pom pom balls on the drawstrings I used Red Heart Baby Clouds in the color white. For the belt buckle I used Sinfonia cotton yarn in yellow.

Starting at the bottom of the purse with the color red using a G hook, Form a magic ring or ch 4 and join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: 7 sc into ring. (Do not join. Continue onto next row. mark rows as you go to keep track.) (7 st)
Rnd 2: 2 sc into each sc around. (14 st)

Pom Pom Balls (Make 2)

Using White, Red Heart Baby Clouds yarn; begin wrapping around your four fingers 30 times. Cut the yarn, and using Red Heart Super Saver yarn in white, Tie a knot to the center and cut, leaving enough yarn to fasten to the end of the drawstrings. Trim the ends down to form a pom pom ball. You can leave them large or small depending on your preference. Fasten to the drawstring.

Brave Inspired

I recently had a request for a Brave inspired purse. I decided to have the main character, Merida, featured on the purse with her wild and crazy curly hair. I added a few different shades of dark and light orange for her hair to accent her highlights. I used a dark teal similar to the color of Merida's dress for the purse and strap, accented in a yellow-gold.

Here is a picture of the lovely "brave" Merida.
I think it turned out really cute!

It's Official!

I recently purchased brand new business cards through Vistaprint. I wasn't too thrilled with my older business cards because the font against the blue background was very hard to read and see. I just LOVE my new business cards now. The dark purple font against the white background just "POPS" and I adore that whimsical flower design with the little bird. And yes you are reading that correctly. I am officially in the diaper cake business as well. I just had so much fun making the diaper cake for my friend's baby shower that I want to make more! I do have my phone number and business address on these but I edited it so that they were hidden on the picture above to respect my privacy. ;) I had another request for a cupcake purse recently. They wanted a vanilla cupcake with white icing and rainbow sprinkles. Here it is!

So fun and cute!

Candy Corn Sweetness

This season always has me craving my absolute favorite fall candy, Candy Corn! (Those delicious green apple lollipops come in second place ;)) While I was eating this sweet and yummy candy, I was inspired to create a candy corn purse. This is the finished result.

Zella of course fell in love with it so this one pictured is hers, but if you would like another or know a cutie who would, I have listed a custom candy corn purse in my etsy store.

You can find it HERE

Stay Sweet! ;)
