Look At My Hip Chick!

This adorable outfit is a collaboration among friends. Tammy of Painted*Patooties painted the super cute jeans and the sweet little chick tee was made by Kristin of Lil*Pink*Piggies. Yours truly made the hat to match of course. You can find the hat, jeans, and tee to match on Ebay for the Lil*Peas Hip Chick Launch. You can click on the picture below to see my auction for the hat.
.
I changed the original spring chick hat design I made recently to match this set better. I really like the orange fluff on his head and the longer arms on the ear flaps. ;) This hat is a real head turner! If you want to have you or your little one stand out in a crowd; this is the hat to wear! ;)

Xiera and I had so much fun making this set come to life!! You can't help but to smile and giggle when you look at it!

Things That Make You Go Hmmmmm...

I had a conversation this evening with Xiera after I saw this on my vinyl tablecloth.

Me: "Hey Xiera! Do you know who wrote this on the table?"

Xiera" "Zella did it mommy."

Me: "Really? I had no idea Zella could write, let alone write your name and draw smiley faces. She is a true artist!"

Xiera: "Well I am an artist too."

Me: "Yes you are."

Xiera: "So do you like my smiley face I drew?"

Me: "I thought you said Zella drew it?"

Xiera: "She did, mommy." (Then ran off to her bedroom)

Me: (was left standing there confused, scratching my head)

Putting Them To Work

We are remodeling a bedroom downstairs that is going to be hubby's future electronics/computer room. Hubby is a regular Jimmy Neutron so he needs his very own room for all of his gadgets and experiments.
We put the girls to work by having them help to prime the walls.

Zella is multitasking. Notice her thumb in mouth while priming.

And yes Xiera has a new hairdo for today!

It is called the Cute Knotty Ponytail and I found how to do it HERE. It is so super easy and doesn't take but 5 minutes to do. ;) And it looks so cute too!

A Girl Can't Have Enough Pink!

I just finished a pretty little pink shrug with matching flower hair clip to match a BEAUTIFUL Tutu dress made by the very talented Brittney of Abby's Tutu Factory. This gal makes the most beautiful and truly unique tutus, and tutu dresses I have EVER seen!!! I just sent it off to be modeled but plan to have Xiera model the set too, so stay tuned! ;)

I found the shrug pattern in last June 2008 Crochet World Magazine. The pattern is called the Flower Girl Shrug and was created by Jennifer of Jaybird Designs.

I also listed my first Lil Peas listings. I listed the Newsboy Style Hat and Blue Bunny Hat.

Pretty in Pink

For the past 2 weeks I have been working on a very detailed Easter dress for the daughter of a dear customer of mine. I put the finishing touches on it late last night and am in awe at how beautiful it turned out. I almost hate having to let it go.

I found the pattern for this gorgeous dress at the Crochet Garden. It is called Angel Song. I did a little tweaking since my customer did not want the extra ruffles on the sleeves, and I added some loops to the sides to hold the ribbon sash in place, and a sweet little white crochet flower on the front.

My favorite part is the the pink rose embellishments along the edge of the dress and that the white pettiskirt underneath is separate from the dress so you have the option to where the dress without it.

I am truly in love with this! Now if only I could find the time in between orders and life to make one for Zella and a matching sister set for Xiera.

Who Lives In a Pineapple Under The Sea?

Well Sponge Bob does of course!! Zella's birthday party turned out to be such a fun party!
The kids played pin the pants on Sponge Bob. Zella liked to play without her blindfold.

And then a little silly time.

I got Zella's adorable dress from Kim of 1976cook on Ebay. She makes the most adorable pillowcase character dresses. Her bow to match was made by my talented friend Jeanine of Monkey Cheek Boutique.

Then it was cake time!!!

Mmmmm Yummy! Her adorable Sponge Bob Party hat was made by Posh Party Couture.

Time to open presents!

Ceadar Hill Heirlooms made her adorable name puzzle! And look at this little dolly we got Zella!

Isn't she just the cutest and sweetest thing you have ever seen? She was custom made by Kimmie of The Whimsy Patch She makes the cutest and most unique dollies I have ever seen! Don't forget to check out her BLOG! She wrote a little story about mini dolly Zella there. ;) She has a little story about most of her dolls she creates! Too CUTE!!!

Happy Birthday Zella!

Sweet "Bob Bob" Dreams!

SUCCESS

Hubby and I stayed up until 4:30
this morning working on Zella's cake for her special day today. I then woke up with the girls at 7:30 this morning. I am officially sleep deprived and running on caffeine from my cup of coffee. We are having her Sponge Bob Birthday party later on this afternoon. I have to say that hubby worked the hardest on him putting him together. I baked the cake and made the icing and was also in charge of cleaning up the aftermath.

I think he turned out pretty AWESOME!

THIS website gave us all the tips and ideas on how to make him. I used a Lasagna dish and 2 boxes of Betty Crocker's cake mix. I then made my own homemade butter creme icing for the yellow on his face and body parts. We used Betty Crocker White and Chocolate Icing for his shirt, pants, socks and eyes and Wilson icing for his eyes pupils, mouth/tongue, black outlining, and stripes for his socks. We also used Swiss Rolls for his legs and feet, Ding Dongs for his pants legs, and Twinkies for his shirt sleeves.

Xiera gave her approval early this morning and then asked, "Mommy, where are his holes?" The thought that crossed my mind at that very moment was, "OOPS!!" To which I then replied, "Well honey he didn't feel like wearing them today." Okay I know, what a silly reply, but she was pleased with this answer and just smiled. ;)

Now I have to get back to all the party preparations. I will post pictures of the party soon. ;)

Lindsay
