My Favorite Rainbow Girl
My favorite 80's cartoon of all time was definitely Rainbow Brite. That fun loving, colorful sweetheart with her beloved sprite Twink, who always wanted to shower the world with beautiful colors.
I had lots of fun collaborating with Brittney of Abby's Tutu Factory to make this adorable costume. Brittney made the Rainbow Brite tutu dress with headband and I made the leg and arm warmers to match.
You can find the set for sale HERE!

Kids on WHEELS
Last night my niece had a roller skating birthday party. My girls have NEVER been on roller skates before and I have not went roller skating in almost 10 years so I knew we were going to have an interesting time.
Well getting on the skates was pretty easy....trying to roller skate was a completely different story!! LOL!!
5 minutes later, and Zella was pretty much all done and ready to leave. LOL! She was not a fan and poor Xiera was so determined yet so discouraged everytime she would lose her balance. Hubby and I are going to go and pick up some skates for the girls so they can start practicing here at home.
Happy Birthday Kailyn! I can't believe you are already 7!!

Baby The Pretty Pony Purse
I was so excited when my good friend and amazing designer Sally of Loveland*Avenue asked me to collaborate with her for Wisterialane's Duet Launch. We chose the song All The Pretty Little Horses to inspire us for this launch. She made the sweet horse/pony lounge set, and I made Baby The Pretty Pony Purse to match. For all of my crocheting friends, you can find the FREE pattern to make one yourself, HERE. I had the pleasure of working with mom/daughter modeling team Robin and Natalie of lonnierobin on Ebay for this launch. These two were an absolute joy to work with. Natalie is a living a doll and Robin's photography is just amazing. Just look for yourself!
You can find Baby The Pretty Pony Purse HERE!

A Visit From the Tooth Fairy and a Sneak Peak
This past labor day weekend Xiera lost her first tooth!!! I know! I can't believe it myself. It had been loose for a few weeks and then Sunday afternoon she told me she knew it was going to come out for sure. Sure enough, she pulled it out and was so proud of herself!!! Isn't her toothless grin the cutest? The tooth fairy came to visit us on Sunday evening and in the wee hours of Monday morning she awoke to find a fairy dust trail on the side of her pillow and bed, and underneath her pillow was a pretty little dollar bill all rolled up with a golden ribbon bow. She was so excited!! I think she was more excited about the fairy dust than that dollar bill.
More good news; Zella's chalazion has completely healed and her eyes are as big and bright as ever! Praise God! We are still continueing to keep up with the daily cleansing of her eyelids so that we can avoid anymore of those TERRIBLE chalazions.
I also finished a little something for the upcoming Wisteria Lane Duet Guest Launch so please stay tuned. Here is a sneak peak. ;)

Off She Goes
This morning my big kindergartener got on the school bus for the first time. She was so excited. I, on the other hand, was a crying mess.
When it came time daddy, Zella, and I all walked Xiera down the driveaway and waited for the bus to arrive.
When the bus arrived, she was all smiles and ready to get on! I am really in awe over the above picture I took. That natural lens flare is really spectacular!
She gave me a quick kiss and hug, waved to Zella and daddy, and walked up those bus stairs. She then gave me a quick pose, and walked on back to take her seat.
The bus rolled away, and we all waved bye, while I wiped away many bittersweet tears. :)
Once we got back inside, Zella and I enjoyed some delicious cinnamin rolls with fresh blueberries.
MMMMMMMM.........YUMMY!
Zella's eye seems to be doing much better. She still has a very small chalazion on her upper eyelid. It came back after her second surgery, but it is very small and hard to see and isn't swollen at all. We think it will go away on it's own. We are still applying her meds, and warm compresses. She has had a few go away on their own so hopefully this one will too! ;)

Serendipity Halloween Guest Launch
First off, I just want to say that working with both Robyn of 3sweetps*boutique and Betty of piccolinnes4kids has been so much fun! Betty made the Rockin' Rad boy set and Robyn made the funky girl set to match my Tallulah The Punk Doll. These 2 ladies have so much talent!! And Robyn's girls; who modeled my Mohawk hats and doll, are just the cutest and really ROCKED these sets! I know I had said that I was going to list these for the Lil Peas guest launch but life did not permit that, so we decided to list these for the Serendipity Halloween Costume Guest Launch instead, and what a FUN launch it is! Don't forget to check out the other amazing designs listed for this launch HERE.

My Big Girl's First Day
Today was Xiera's first day of Kindergarten. She had mixed emotions this morning of nervousness and excitement. She picked out the outfit she wanted to wear the night before. Her style; COMFORT! She is anti jeans and all about the comfy cotton pants. Her favorite hairstyle: Out of her face and back in one of her FAVORITE headbands. Her book bag and lunch bag: Disney Princesses, OF COURSE!
Daddy and I decided to take her on her first day instead of her getting on the bus. On her way to school, you could tell she was so excited. She had the biggest smile on her face. When we entered her classroom, she went and found her cubby, and hung up her jacket, bag and lunch bag and went to show off her new clothes to her teacher. I then took a few more pics of my big girl; notice the pose.....so hilarious.
Then we said our good byes and were on our way. We turned around to get one more quick look and saw her sitting on the bean bag looking at a book while waiting for the rest of her friends to show up, and we left. I didn't cry, YET. I probably will be balling my eyes out the day she gets on the bus for sure! I can't wait to hear how her first day went later on today! I am so proud of her.

Lindsay
