Woodlands Scarf and Cloche Set

I just finished this beautiful scarf and cloche set for my aunt. It is a gift for her sister who lives in Germany. I just love how this set turned out. The mixture of colors remind me of a nature walk on a trail through the park on a cool, crisp, fall afternoon. It really is pretty. I have enough yarn left over to make another set so I went ahead and listed the set as a custom in my etsy store. You can find it HERE.

Santa Pants Purse Free Pattern

One of my lovely customers requested a custom Santa pants purse for her adorable granddaughter. I just love all of her wonderful ideas for crochet purses. So I came up with this adorable design. The pattern is so simple, I decided to share it with all of you. :)

Santa Pants Drawstring Purse

I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the colors red and black for the main part of the purse. For the drawstring, I used Red Heart Super Saver in white. For the top trim of the purse and pom pom balls on the drawstrings I used Red Heart Baby Clouds in the color white. For the belt buckle I used Sinfonia cotton yarn in yellow.

Starting at the bottom of the purse with the color red using a G hook, Form a magic ring or ch 4 and join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: 7 sc into ring. (Do not join. Continue onto next row. mark rows as you go to keep track.) (7 st)
Rnd 2: 2 sc into each sc around. (14 st)

Pom Pom Balls (Make 2)

You can leave them large or small depending on your preference. Fasten to the drawstring.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

This year the girls got their very own Christmas tree to decorate and display in their room. Zella wanted a white tree because white and silver are her favorite colors. Xiera loves pink, rainbows, and kitties so she picked out some colorful ornaments to decorate the tree with. She chose the Cheshire cat to place on top of the tree. The girls both decided to make it a Lalaloopsy tree and sat their favorite mini lala dolls on the tree.
To keep with tradition, we took the girls to visit Santa the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They got their lists ready and were all smiles to see their favorite jolly guy.
This year Zella declared that she wanted to visit Santa separately from her sister. So she went first and had a very serious talk with him. I heard something about a Baby Butterscotch Pony. ;)
Xiera was next and they were both all giggles and smiles about something.
The nice balloon lady made Zella a snowgirl.
And Xiera requested a Candy Cane man with a top hat and scarf. (Totally her own creation.) She is so funny!
I just love Christmas time. Don't you?

Shake a Tail Feather...Little Turkey

I made Zella this cute little turkey hat to wear this Thanksgiving. I wanted to switch up my past turkey hat design and make this one more funky and fun. My past turkey design I made a turkey applique and sewed it onto a hat.
I wanted the earflaps to resemble orange turkey legs so I made the braids on the ear flaps all orange and used some soft fluffy yarn for an added fun texture.
I doubled the top feathers so they would look nice even in the back plus I wanted them to remain sturdy and tall and not floppy so this did the trick real nicely.
I made the wattle hang a little bit below the brim of the hat to resemble a real turkey wattle. ;)
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving this year with family and friends and don't forget to shake your tail feather and have fun!

Custom Baby Minnie Set and More

I had recently finished another sweet little set for a dear customer of mine; a baby Minnie hat, skirt and bloomer set with matching shoes. This set was a lot of fun to make and I hope to see pictures of the little cutie pie who gets to wear it. ;)

I also custom made these sweet little barefoot baby sandals in silver with white flowers for this little one too.
Absolutely precious!

My Very Own Snow White

A few weeks ago Zella had the opportunity to model a beautiful Snow White set made by the very talented Jayne of Baby*Grace*Designs. The girls always love it when they get the chance to model for Jayne. She creates the most whimsical and fun sets that any little princess would adore. Her work is both impeccable and gorgeous!
I crocheted the red bow to match. What I love the most about this set are the 7 dwarf appliques around the skirt. So cute!
Zella has always been our little Snow White here at home ever since she was a baby. She has the fairest skin, the brightest blue eyes, and her lips have a tint of red to them which sometimes looks as though she is wearing a bit of rouge.

Sweet Sundae Treats

I just love my customers and their fun ideas to custom crochet. My dearest customer Yvonne, messaged me wondering if I could make ice cream sundae hats in strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla for her family. Of course I said yes and am so happy I did because they all turned out so adorable!
Guess who wants me to make one for her next? ;)
Zella told me she wants one in vanilla and Xiera said she wants hers in strawberry. Those silly girls are always keeping me busy.

Better Late Than Never

My internet has been on and off all week long, so for the moment while it is on, I wanted to take the opportunity to share some pictures of the girls in their Halloween costumes. Last Thursday was our town's Begger's Night so we took the girls out to collect all their tricks and treats. Of course they received more treats than tricks.

This year Zella dressed as Merida from the Disney movie Brave and Xiera was Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls. Zella really looked the part with those bright blue eyes and pale skin and that wild, crazy, long, red and curly wig.
Xiera loves her Powerpuff Girls so of course Bubbles was the choice for her.
While the girls were out getting their treats, we ran into their cousins.
We all had a wonderful Halloween this year minus all the cold and terrible wind storms. Before the bad weather, the girls enjoyed carving and painting pumpkins.
Happy Fall everyone! It is my birthday today so I am off to celebrate by shopping! :)
