A dear friend of mine, Kammi had asked me if I would be interested in making a newsboy style hat that resembles a pumpkin for her baby boy to wear at the Pumpkin Show Festival. She said she had entered him in the Lil' Prince Pumpkin Contest. I told her that I would love to create this hat for him to wear. This is the hat I created.

And here are the details.

I think he makes a cute lil' pumpkin prince.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Hat
Since my daughter Zella has found a new love for karate, she asked me if I would make her a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hat. Her favorite turtle is Michelangelo. This is the hat I created for her.

She absolutely loves it! Can you tell?

School Spirit Bulldog Hat
My daughters' school mascot is the Bulldog. My oldest has been asking me for quite some time to create a bulldog hat for her to wear to school to show her school spirit. I finally had a little time to create this fun hat for her.

She HAD to wear her geeky school glasses in these pictures. They were the perfect prop she said.

I have to agree with her. :)

Rainbow Dash My Little Pony Hat
My dear cousin Mandy contacted me the other day. Her daughter Karlee is wanting to be the My Little Pony Rainbow Dash for Halloween this year. She wanted to know if I would be interested in creating a custom Rainbow Dash hat for Karlee. Well of course I would!! Here is the hat I created for little Miss Karlee. My dear daughter Zella is modeling the hat in the pictures. ;)

Karlee loves it and apparently so does Zella since she has asked me to make a Twilight Sparkle pony hat for her now.

A Minnie Mouse Hat for a Sweet Little Girl
My dear friend from high school, Emily had contacted me recently. She told me that her sweet little darling Gianna loved all things Minnie Mouse and was wondering if I could make her a cute custom Minnie Mouse hat. I most certainly could not say no to this fun request. Here is the hat I came up with.

Emily and Gianna both love it. :)

Teacher Appreciation Tissue Box Cozy Gifts
Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day!
I made these adorable cake tissue box cozies for my daughters' teachers, to show them how thankful I am for all of their hard work and dedication bettering their education. I used Twinkie Chan's FREE pattern as a base pattern to create all of these.
The chocolate cake was created from the original pattern. Instead of mini 5mm pom pom balls, I used mini buttons as sprinkles.

The party cake was created using the the same pattern; with the exception of the strawberry pink icing, and white icing piping along the edges. I also added a few cherries on top.

The rainbow layered cake was slightly different from the rest. I used the original pattern for the white icing and icing piping along the edges but did something a bit different for the cake part. I crocheted rainbow layers with white icing in between each layer. I hot glued mini pom pom balls on the top to resemble sprinkles.

These were so much fun to make! I know the teachers will love them.

Majestic the Unicorn Hat

This week, I created a unicorn hat for my youngest daughter who LOVES all things unicorn. Her favorite colors are white, rainbow, and silver so I incorporated all of these colors into the hat. The hat itself is mostly all white. The mane and pom pom balls are rainbow colored and the lavender horn has silver stitching around it. It shines in the light.

My daughter squealed with delight when she came home from school yesterday and saw this hat, and then wore it to school today to show it off to all of her friends. I think I achieved the best mom award this week from her. ;)

I have this hat available in my Etsy store now. You can find it HERE.

Things I Have Been Working On
I am officially all caught up with orders! What a wonderful feeling it is to actually say that! I have had quite a bit of orders this month and just finished and mailed out my last one today.
The hungry caterpillar hat was made for a sweet little girl who is turning one next week.

At the last minute her mom requested I stitch her name Elea Heart somewhere on the hat with her age 1. I decided to stitch her name onto the caterpillar's body and the last segment near the caterpillar's head, I stitched a heart to represent her name and a number one to represent the age she is turning. I think it turned out very cute!

St. Patrick's Day was earlier on this week, and I had quite a few bearded leprechaun hat orders.

What I love the most, is the customer pictures I received of the cuties who wore these hats on St. Patrick's Day! <3

For Etsy orders, I recreated another cute Dave the minion backpack.

And today I finished and mailed out this fun and colorful Rainbow Fish hat. It is a gift for a young man who loves fish.

Lucky Leprechauns
I just love how these Lucky Leprechaun Beard Hats turned out. I made these for my dear customer's sons to wear. My daughters had a lot of fun modeling them even in the freezing temperatures we are having outside today.

Daisy Petals Girl Scout Hat
My youngest daughter is a Daisy girl scout and has been very busy these past few weeks selling girl scout cookies. The weather has not been the greatest outside for door to door sales, and with booth sales approaching, I thought I would make her a little daisy girl scout hat to keep her head warm.

A Girl Scout Daisy earns her petals by participating and completing activities that represent each petal.

An activity for let's say the yellow petal, which represents friendly and helpful, can be as easy as bringing in a snack at a meeting and passing it out to each of her "daisy sisters" while also saying something nice to each of the girls.
By doing this kind gesture, she will get rewarded the yellow petal to add to her girl scout tunic.

Zella really enjoys being a Daisy Girl Scout and has made a lot of friends within her troop. She is learning so many valuable life lessons while having lots of fun!

The Emma Dress Set
I had a dear customer of mine request a very sweet pineapple stitch dress set for her infant daughter, Emma. So for the past few weeks, I worked every moment on it and am so proud to finally show off the finished piece.

She only wanted the matching booties with the dress but I felt it needed that precious little beret to complete it.

For a little accent, I added three fresh water pearl beads to the center of the crochet flower and sewed it on.

I can't wait to see pictures of sweet little Emma wearing this dress. This is going to be her Easter dress.
