Rushed Christmas Order and Holiday Hairstyles
I rushed delivered this little cutie and adorable pair of pink and white leg warmers today for a dear customer of mine to make it in time to be under the Christmas tree this week! Phew....now I can breathe!! ;)
This past weekend we had an early Christmas dinner at my grandparents in laws. They always have their Christmas get together a week early so all of the grand children and great grandchildren can get together. Xiera asked me earlier on that day to do something pretty to her hair so we visited one of my favorite hairstyle blogs; The Story of a Princess and Her Hair, and found the perfect Hairstyle.
Look at those curls! Can you believe they stayed in all evening? She took one look in the mirror at her hair and told me she felt like a Princess.
Just look at that smile!
Here are a few pics from Sunday night's get together.
Hmmmm...I wonder what is inside!!
Time to open and see...
O wow Roller Skating Barbie!
Look...I got Veterinarian Barbie!
I love this next one. Zella was flashing one of her notorious dirty annoyed looks!
And last...the dreaded group photo of all the great grand children! LOL!

Making Ornaments and a Kitty Dress
Xiera and I made a few sweet ornament gifts to give to her teacher this week. For all my crocheting friends; I found the Christmas Tree, Snowflake and Sugar Cookie patterns all free online.
Normally I would hand sew all buttons and beads on myself, but I thought it would be fun for Xiera to use fabric glue to glue the buttons onto the tree, sequins onto the snowflake, and beads onto the sugar cookie. They turned out super cute! The sugar cookie is my absolute FAVORITE! It almost looks good enough to eat.
Also this week I finished the cutest dress for a baby Sphynx kitten a customer of mine is getting as a gift for her daughter. I used one of Xiera's stuffed kitty cats to model it for me. ;)

Gifts From The Heart
Today we received a package in the mail from my grandmother-in-law, the girls' great grandmother. We were all so excited to find individually wrapped gifts inside for each of us. Sweet Grandma Marge hand crocheted slippers for all of us this year!
They are all just adorable!
What I love most of all are the little cards attached to them. Each card has a saying on them with a biblical quote that holds a meaning for each slipper's color.
These are all truly special and we will treasure them for years to come! I simply adore mine!
If you are reading this Grandma Marge, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Santa Baby
Yesterday we took the girls to go and see Santa. We had such a good time. (Ugg I don't like my face in the above pic but the girls look super cute as always. I was totally caught off guard.)
The girls ate some delicious cookies.
Did a little dancing.
And Xiera loved the clown who made her a balloon flower.
He made Zella a funny looking pink poodle. Why does he look so funny you ask? Well have a look for yourself! LOL!
Finally the girls sat with Santa and told him everything they wanted for Christmas. Zella still wasn't too sure about him so I sat with her again this year. Xiera told him she wanted a FurReal kitty cat and Zella said she wanted a dog. :)
Now it's time to put up our Christmas tree. ;)

Snowflake Hat
I made two of these hats for the girls to wear yesterday when they went to visit Santa. (I will share pics after this post.) For the edging of the hat I crocheted it in white and added a red whip stitch to resemble a candy cane. For the snowflake clip I sewed a rhinestone button to the center. For an added glitz, I sewed on a few iridescent sequins. You can't really see it in the above picture so I took another pic to show detail.
The girls received so many compliments last night when they wore these. Everyone was asking where I found them. ;) I was so bummed that I forgot to bring along my business cards. I just told them to Google CrochetDLane. How professional of me. :)

Turkey and Lip Gloss
Trying to get the girls to sit together and smile is quite the task...
Especially when one of them insists on applying her lip gloss first. I think I have created a monster! A makeup loving one! A girl after my own heart. (Notice Zella's annoyed look on her face.)
It was all worth the wait! ;) Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!

Lindsay

Lucky's Hat
Wisterialane is having a Breakfast Club Launch this week. I teamed up with the very talented Julie of paintedbutterflystudio for this exciting launch! We chose Lucky Charms cereal. Julie put a twist to her adorable applique tee to match and had Mickey Mouse dress up like Lucky. You can find the applique tee listing HERE I of course made Lucky's hat. You can find the listing for the hat HERE
~A little inside info for all of my crocheting diva readers who would like to have the pattern for this hat.~ The pattern is by my dear friend and talented crochet designer Jennifer Cirka of Jaybird Designs and I found it in the February 2009 issue of Crochet World.
Julie's handsome nephew modeled for us. Such a cutie pie! Don't forget to stop and visit Julie's paintedbutterflystudio BLOG too.
