A Birthday Celebration..Kindergarten Style

Zella's 6th birthday was officially Thursday, but we celebrated last night with family and a handful of her classmates from school at a place called Jumpy's.


There really wasn't a theme this year; just lots of colorful fun!
My friend Vanessa made Zella's cake this year. She is the one who made Xiera's fabulous Fairy Mushroom House cake for her party last year and the adorable bear cake for my best friend's baby shower last year. We love and admire her talent for making beautiful and fun cakes.

Everyone loved it; especially the birthday girl!

She had fun and mommy was able to relax, so it was a win, win all around! Happy Birthday Zelly Belly!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! For Xiera's Valentine party at school today, she made this adorable kitty cat box to store all of her special Valentines from all of her friends.

It is complete with a crocheted pink tail. ;)

She is so excited to show it off to all of her friends today.

I am actually heading out within the hour to help out with both of the girls' Valentine parties at school. Here is what I made for all of the kiddos to snack on.

100th day of school

Today is the 100th day of school for my girls. The kindergarteners were able to dress up like 100 year old men and women to celebrate. Zella was all gussied up this morning for the occasion.

She was dressed to impress in her knee high socks, hair scarf, white gaudy beaded necklace, and a pair of Xiera's old glasses. We took out the lenses. She even smelled flowery since I sprayed a little Bath and Body works Peony body splash on her. And to top it all off, I added a little pink blush to her cheeks and a little lip gloss to her lips. What a fun idea!
