The Minions Have Arrived!
Sugar3 Boutique on Facebook is having their Villainous Launch going on right now. Karen of Layla*and*Stitch and I collaborated for this fun launch. Karen made the shirts and I made the hats to match.
I believe the shirts are already sold but if you are interested in them, you can contact Karen on her business page on Facebook, Layla and Stitch Children's Boutique and ask her if she will be making anymore. Two of the Evil Purple Minion hats have already been purchased with Buy It Now, but once I am caught up with orders, I plan to list these fun hats in my Etsy store.
This collaboration was so much fun! I always enjoy working with Karen. She has been making beautiful boutique clothing for my girls for seven years now. She is very talented and her designs are absolutely amazing. The Sugar3 Villainous launch ends tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. CST so if you get a chance, please stop on by. There are a lot of wonderful designs available for this fun launch!
Thank you for collaborating with me Lindsay. The girls did great on the pictures. Yes, I sold 4 shirts from the launch so I had to close the sales as I have no more time on my schedule. I can take orders for them for Late Sept. Early October or later delivery.

The hats turned out really cute! I love the pix too. Always fun to see my patterns in such a cute way.
ReplyDeleteDo you sell this pattern for the evil minion hat and if so where? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello Sean and Ariel!
ReplyDeleteI made these adorable hats using Snappy Tots pattern designed by Heidi Yates. You can purchase the pattern at this link...

I purchased the pattern using Snappy Tots pattern designed by Heidi Yates.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the purple minion does not even look close to the one depicted on Lindsay's blog. It seems like the hat is thicker and has long arms with not just a thumb but a finger. The yarn that is used for the hair seems longer than 8" long as stated on the pattern. The pattern does not specify the weight or texture of the yarn either. A buyer shared Lindsay's photo with me, and asked if I could crochet the hat for his daughter. Well, I purchased the pattern and I am not seeing any resemblance. :/ Overall, it's nice and I like it. Hope the buyer will like it though.
Yvette
Hello Yvette! I did use the Heidi Yates Snappy Tots pattern for the evil minion hat. I used red heart's medium purple yarn for the base of the hat. For the hands, I used the yellow minion hand pattern within the Snappy Tots pattern instead of the glove pattern they used for the evil minion. I did make the arms a bit longer than what the pattern called for. For the hair, I used Red Heart's darker purple, I believe it is called dark orchid and hooked in two 18 inch stands of yarn around the top of the hat. Afterward, I used a dog brush to frizz out the hair and them trimmed it up. Happy crocheting!

Lindsay
